Brussels, April 26.- The popular MEP, Rosa Estaràs and the President of the Sine Dolore Foundation, Jordi Moya, presented this morning the fourth edition of the pain theme park 'Sine Dolore World Park 2018' in the European Parliament, which It will be held in Menorca from 1 to 6 of the next month of May. During the presentation, Estaràs has shown that "chronic pain is a disease in itself that alters the quality of life of 60 million Europeans."
For the same reason, he has defended, "it is important to participate in training and information workshops such as Sine Dolore World Park, promote primary care and hospital pain unit, in addition to continuing to work for research and development of new projects."
He also recalled that "those affected by chronic pain are not isolated cases, but we speak of the first cause of sick leave in the EU, with more than 500 million days of sick leave a year in the Union, which causes an economic cost of almost 35 million euros ". But above all, it has affected, "it is a personal problem that we have to reverse".
The Balearic MEP has thanked all Menorcan and Menorcan support and generosity for the quality of life patients with chronic pain. "The entire island has been made available to those affected as a scenario to give voice and visibility to one of the major health problems in Europe that affects 20% of the population," he added.
